Ultrasound

The equine clinic has seven digital ultrasound scanners. Ultrasound is particularly useful to help in the diagnosis of tendon and ligament injuries. It is being used increasingly to examine the abdomens of horses with colic prior to surgery (or hopefully to help ascertain if surgery is necesary).
